Our Gaze is not to sell is a reportage on a militant group active in the Lausanne region, whose members join forces in a common struggle to oppose out-of-home advertising. Known by the acronym CLIP - (translated from french : Collective for the Liberation of Advertising Invasion - this tiny group advocates civil disobedience in order to oppose this increasingly prominent and contested phenomenon. This major cog in the (over)consumer society has multiple consequences, both environmental and social, contributing to climate change and cultivating collective illusions. [...] Does advertising still have a place in a society that urgently needs to become more aware of and react to growing climate and social issues? Doesn't it stand in the way of necessary change?
